Collected Strategies — Brand & Design System
Role
Creative Direction, Design Systems, Visual Identity
Context
Collected Strategies is a strategic communications firm operating in high-stakes environments (M&A, shareholder activism, crisis situations).
The firm required a visual system that matched the level of discretion, credibility, and clarity expected by institutional clients.
The Problem
The firm lacked a cohesive visual identity and scalable design system.
Materials were inconsistent across presentations, digital touchpoints, and communications—undermining perceived authority.
The challenge was to create a system that:
Felt conservative but not outdated
Could scale across high-volume, high-pressure deliverables
Maintained clarity under dense, complex information
Approach
I led the design from end to end, focusing on building a structured, modular system rather than one-off assets.
Established a restrained, institutional visual language
Defined typography, color, and layout rules for consistency
Designed flexible components for real-world use (decks, cards, social, web)
Balanced aesthetic refinement with operational efficiency
The goal was not just visual polish—but repeatability and control at scale
System
Built a comprehensive design system including:
Visual Identity — logo usage, color palette, typography hierarchy
Presentation Framework — modular deck templates for strategic narratives
Component Library — cards, deal announcements, executive communications
Digital Applications — website and LinkedIn content system
Print Collateral — business cards and supporting materials
Every element was designed to function within a unified structure.
Outcome
Established a cohesive, institutional-grade brand presence
Enabled faster, more consistent production of client-facing materials
Elevated the firm’s perceived credibility in high-stakes contexts
Key Contribution
This project reflects my ability to:
Translate ambiguous business needs into structured systems
Design for clarity under complexity
Build visual frameworks that support real operational use
